About Blossom Word Game

BlossomWordGame.uk is a dedicated home on the web for fans of the daily word flower puzzle—often compared to the Merriam-Webster Blossom format. We built this site so players have one reliable place to play for free, learn strategy, check hints without spoilers when possible, and browse full answer archives when they are stuck. This page explains who we are, what we publish, and how we aim to meet high editorial standards for AdSense and our readers alike.

Our Mission

Word puzzles should be accessible, fast and enjoyable. Our mission is to help adults, students and families build vocabulary through a calm, ad-supported experience that respects your time: no mandatory sign-up, no app install, and no paywall on the core Blossom game. We supplement the daily puzzle with clearly written guides, an auto-updating answers section for transparency, and a growing Word Games hub for variety when you want a different challenge.

What Is the Blossom Word Game?

Each day, seven letters are arranged like flower petals—one letter in the centre and six around it. Your goal is to form as many valid English words as possible using only those letters. Every word must include the centre letter. Words need at least four letters. Longer words usually score more points, and finding a pangram (a word that uses all seven letters) typically earns a large bonus. Letters may be reused across different words. The puzzle resets daily, which keeps the habit fresh and fair for regular solvers.

Our playable version on the home page follows these rules and tracks your score toward a daily target. The letter set rotates based on the calendar date so everyone sees the same puzzle on a given day on our site.

What You Will Find on BlossomWordGame.uk

The site is organised into focused sections rather than one endless page:

  • Home – Play Free: The interactive Blossom board with shuffle, submit and keyboard support on desktop and mobile.
  • Today: Daily letter display, stats, starter words and strategy hints.
  • Answers: Full word lists for today and previous days, plus daily solutions for Quordle, Octordle, Waffle and Tightrope.
  • Word Games: Overview and four additional browser games with their own rules and answer pages.
  • Blog: Longer articles on word-game strategy and vocabulary (hosted on our WordPress blog).
  • Legal & contact pages: Privacy Policy, Terms, Disclaimer, About and Contact so visitors understand how we operate.

Editorial Standards and Content Quality

Google AdSense and our readers expect substantive, original pages—not thin placeholders. We invest in:

  • Unique copy on every major page, written specifically for BlossomWordGame.uk;
  • Visible answer text in HTML so crawlers and users see real value without clicking “load” buttons;
  • Daily updates via server-side logic on answers and today pages;
  • Clear disclaimers that we are an independent fan site, not an official publisher;
  • Accurate meta descriptions and titles that match page content.

When we expand word lists or change scoring, we update explanations on the home and Today pages so new players are not confused.

Who We Serve

Our audience includes daily puzzle enthusiasts in the United Kingdom, United States and worldwide; teachers looking for classroom-friendly vocabulary warm-ups; commuters who want a five-minute brain stretch; and Wordle fans exploring similar games. Beginners can read rules on the home page; advanced solvers can chase pangrams and compare scores with friends. We welcome constructive feedback from players worldwide.

Independence and Transparency

We are not affiliated with Merriam-Webster or any official game rights holder. We do not claim official status. Advertising through Google AdSense helps cover hosting; ad placement is designed to load after primary content where possible to keep performance strong. Legal pages in the site footer explain how we handle data, limits on hints and answers, and general site rules.

Technology and Performance

The static game runs in modern browsers with lightweight JavaScript. Answers and today pages use PHP on the server to regenerate daily content automatically. We monitor page speed and mobile usability because most players visit on phones. Dark mode is available for comfortable evening play.

How We Choose Words for Answer Lists

Our dictionary for validating submissions is curated for common American and British English vocabulary used in daily word puzzles. We include widely accepted four-letter and longer words that meet the centre-letter rule. Obscure abbreviations, proper nouns and offensive terms are generally excluded. Because dictionaries differ, you may occasionally find a word accepted elsewhere that we do not list—or vice versa. We document daily letters openly on the Today page so you can understand which puzzle set an answer archive belongs to.

Community and Fair Play

Many solvers treat the daily puzzle as a personal challenge; others enjoy comparing scores with friends. We encourage fair play: use hints when learning, use full answers when you are stuck, and avoid spoiling others who have not finished yet. Share links to our Today page rather than pasting entire answer lists in public comments without warning.

Looking Ahead

We plan to keep improving archives, add more educational content on the blog, and refine Word Games based on player feedback. If you have suggestions for new features or corrections to word lists, please reach out. Thank you for choosing BlossomWordGame.uk as part of your daily word routine.
